AQABA AIRPORTS COMPANY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2007 AS A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF THE AQABA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. IT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANAGEMENT, OPERATION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF KING HUSSEIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WHICH HAS BEEN AQABA'S AIR GATEWAY SINCE ITS OPENING IN 1972.
