This department is responsible for all technical matters related to verifying the existence and implementation of all policies and procedures necessary to ensure airport security and issuing permits as needed, in addition to the responsibility of maintaining the highest levels of security and safety within airport facilities, in accordance with approved national legislation, instructions of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority, and requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and in a manner that ensures the safety of passengers, employees, aircraft and facilities.
