Charter flights from the Republic of Poland to King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba have resumed

After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, the CEO of Aqaba Airports Company and Director of King Hussein International Airport announced today the resumption of charter flights from Poland directly to King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. The first flight, scheduled to land next Tuesday, will inaugurate the winter tourism season in Aqaba, with one flight per week operating as an air bridge.

Arafat stated that this success is a direct result of the significant efforts and support provided by the relevant authorities, including the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Jordan Tourism Board, in cooperation with the private sector, to attract Polish tourists and tourists from various destinations worldwide to visit the Golden Triangle and the Dead Sea. Arafat affirmed that Aqaba welcomes visitors from all Arab and international countries and tourist destinations, emphasizing the complete readiness of King Hussein International Airport. This readiness is achieved through coordination with all partners and service providers, most notably the Security and Protection Unit, the Passport Office, and other security and civil agencies, to provide maximum facilities in accordance with international best practices offered at leading airports. She added that the Aqaba Airport Company, under the guidance of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and with the support of the Aqaba Development Corporation, which owns the airport's operational assets, is committed to providing a high level of hospitality to all airport users, especially tourists, showcasing the bright and welcoming image of Jordan and reaffirming that Jordanian hospitality is authentic and deeply rooted.

According to Saleh Hilalat, General Manager of Jordan Experts Tourism Company, the tour operator, the launch of this important tourist air route came with the support of the Jordan Tourism Board, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and the Polish tour operator Rainbow. He stated that it represents a positive turning point, heralding a strong winter tourism season and conveying a message to the world that Jordan is a safe, secure, stable, hospitable, and generous country.

He added that the first flight will land at King Hussein International Airport next Tuesday, with one flight per week until April 20, 2026. Each flight will carry approximately 190 tourists who will spend a week in Aqaba, including a tour program to visit Petra and Wadi Rum. Al-Hilalat explained that Jordan Experts Tourism Company has been working to market the country and the Golden Triangle region through participation in exhibitions and the implementation of marketing campaigns, in cooperation with major international tourism companies, in preparation for this step. He pointed out that Jordan is considered one of the promising tourist destinations in the Polish market, and that there is a desire among those interested in tourism to visit the Kingdom.
